Looking Ahead
The Week of March 28
Four signals worth tracking as the week opens. These are based on sourced intelligence, not public announcements.
01

OpenAI's Enterprise Pricing Revision

Sources close to the company say a revised enterprise tier is being finalized. Expect seat-based pricing to be replaced with consumption-based models — a direct response to Anthropic's traction in the Fortune 500.

02

The NVIDIA Supply Chain Signal

Three hyperscaler procurement teams are placing H200 orders 40% above Q1 run rate. This is the leading indicator we watch most carefully for near-term capital deployment signals.

03

EU AI Act Enforcement Begins April 1

The first enforcement actions under the EU AI Act are expected before April 15. Watch for the test case — it will define the compliance posture every enterprise model deployment will need to adopt.

04

Google DeepMind Research Drop

A significant multimodal research publication is expected from DeepMind before month-end. Multiple pre-print servers show a coordinated embargo expiring March 29.

Sarah Chen

On the infrastructure thesis
"Everyone talks about the application layer like it's won. It hasn't been. But the real asymmetry right now is in infrastructure. The companies building the picks and shovels don't care who wins the model race — they win regardless. That's a rare position."
On valuation discipline
"We passed on four companies this week that were genuinely excellent. But excellent at a $3B valuation on $15M ARR is a different investment than excellent at $300M. Discipline isn't pessimism — it's respect for math. The best founders understand that."
What she's watching in Q2
"I want to see who survives the first real enterprise renewal cycle. Pilots don't count. Year-two renewals do. A lot of companies that looked like winners in 2025 are going to face their first real test in the next 90 days."
Advice for founders raising right now
"Know your denominator. Every investor is doing a portfolio calculation in their head while you pitch. If you understand their constraints — fund size, ownership targets, reserve ratios — you can position your round to fit their math. That's not manipulation, that's respect for their business."
Stay in the loop.

The AI landscape moves fast. We track it so you don't have to — every week, across every platform.
